Bilingua Concert TV Broadcast

A unique concert celebrating the life and music of Eithne Ní Uallacháin was shown on Irish television station TG4 on the 28th December 2016. Featuring Karen Matheson of Capercaillie, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh formerly of Danú & Pauline Scanlon of Lumiere, the ‘Bilingua – Ceol Eithne Ní Uallacháin ‘concert programme celebrated Eithne Ní Uallacháin’s legacy as an artist and songwriter.
The concert programme, filmed in the beautiful surroundings of St. Patrick’s, Cathedral, Dublin, featured many musicians she recorded with and singers she inspired.
Karen Matheson (Capercaillie), Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh (Danú) and Pauline Scanlon (Lumiere) performed Eithne’s songs and compositions accompanied by an all-star cast of musicians featuring her husband Gerry O’Connor, her son Dónal O’Connor, Gilles Le Bigot, Neil Martin, John McSherry, John Fitzpatrick, Mario N’Goma and former pupil Áine McGeeney (Goitre).
